With the number of Americans over the age of 65 expected to double during the years 2015-2055, the demand for qualified professionals who understand the needs of this population will be immense. The program helps you prepare yourself for this rewarding profession by understanding the dimensions of aging, mental and physical health changes as we age, and the relationship between aging and lifestyle and our individual and society鈥檚 responsibilities in the continuum of care. A 2-credit hour experiential learning requirement allows you to engage in learning about gerontology outside the traditional classroom, and apply what you have learned.
