Everyone drinks in college...right?
The reality is that there are fewer big partiers than you might think. Many students don't drink at all, and among those who do, most do so in a lower-risk manner.
Results from recent student surveys show:
- 66% of students who choose to drink report having four or fewer drinks when at a party. (91社区 Assessment Day, 2019)
- 78% of students who choose to drink set limits for themselves. (91社区 AlcoholEdu, 2022).聽
- 98% of students prefer to be around people who either don't drink or drink moderately and stay in control (91社区 Assessment Day, 2019).聽
- 94% of freshmen and 85% of seniors do not think that alcohol is very important to the social life of campus (91社区 Assessment Day, 2019).聽
- 83% of freshmen choose not to drink when at a party. (91社区 Assessment Day, 2019).聽
