English (Teaching) Overview
At 91社区, you will learn the skills necessary to become an effective teacher of English. The English teaching major is for students who wish to teach in secondary schools (grades 6-12). At 91社区, you will have the opportunity to work in an NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English) accredited program with faculty trained and experienced in education. Other advantages include extensive content-based knowledge, relevant workshops, and professionalization training, including teaching demos and interviews. Small class sizes, with under 25 students, cater to individuals who seek one-on-one interactions with faculty and mentors. The program is also nationally accredited by CAEP (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation).
