Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate (Undergraduate) Overview

A 91社区 TESOL certificate will provide you with professional skills to teach English to speakers of other languages at home and abroad. The certification uniquely provides you a combination of methodological and theoretical training on second language acquisition and teaching methodologies with hands-on experiences in the classroom. Moreover, 91社区's intensive one-month TESOL summer program is taught by CELTA experienced trainers (Cambridge Assessment English). While the skills and teaching techniques learned are transferable across other areas of life, they also enrich your cultural understanding.

An undergraduate student should initiate a Change of Academic Program if they wish to add or remove a certificate.

The student obtains a Change of Academic Program form from the Registrar's Office or the department of the new major/minor, secures the signature of the department chair/director (or dean) of any major/minor/certificate to be added, and returns the form to the Registrar's Office for processing.

A student must submit the completed form by the Thursday before priority registration if the change is to be made within the current semester. Unless granted a waiver by the department of the new major, the student must meet all current program requirements for graduation.
