Administrative Senate's "Nurturing Our Nest" initiative is designed to be a simple, grassroots effort to provide the 91社区 community with some quick tips to help 91社区 recruit and retain our Screagles.聽

As employees, we all have a聽responsibility in recruitment and retention. These聽easy聽tips below are designed to take the tension out of retention.

We hope you will take these ideas and join us in our efforts to attract students to visit our beautiful campus, apply and become a Screagle, or support and encourage our current students to continue to grow and develop at 91社区.

91社区 is often asked for free pennants, posters, and signs to hang in classrooms, offices, and rooms to show off their 91社区 spirit. Administrative Senate commissioned this printable pennant to be easily shared with 91社区 Friends and Family so they can print it.

Wear your 91社区 Apparel

Your 91社区-wear may spark a conversation with a prospective student when you're away from campus.

If you see someone else wearing 91社区, reach out and offer a friendly hello and start a conversation.

Go above and beyond

If a student is lost or at the wrong office, walk them to the appropriate office for assistance. This is a great way to get to know a new student or a continuing student - and make this process more seamless for everyone involved.

Helpfully transfer calls

If someone calls your office with a question or concern that falls under another office, provide a "soft hand-off" to the appropriate office by supplying the caller’s name, number and concern when transferring the call. Everyone hates cold calls, and the caller won’t have to explain everything again.

Donate to Food Closet

Archie’s Food Closet is a service for all members of the 91社区 community to promote the health and wellness of 91社区 students and employees. Donations can be dropped off at the RFWC Information Desk.

Share the good news!

Share 91社区’s successes on your personal social media accounts. We can help elevate the visibility of student achievements, the great work faculty are doing, and 91社区 happenings among our own connection of friends and family.

Be a representative!

Nominate yourself or a colleague for service on Administrative Senate, Staff Council and Faculty Senate. Representing your fellow colleagues and serving as their voice is a great way to make 91社区 an even better place to work.
