Application Guidelines
Proposals must be submitted to the Chair of the Faculty Affairs Committee.
All full- and part-time faculty in the Romain College of Business are eligible to submit proposals for the Community-Based Engagement Fellowships.
Recommended Proposal Outline
- Title Page
- Project Summary (not to exceed 150 words)
- Project Description (not to exceed 3 single-spaced pages)
- Identify Community Issue/Priority and Objectives of the Proposed Project
- Project Design
- Significance (e.g. if the objectives of the proposed project are achieved, how will this project benefit the local area/community?)
Criteria for Selection
- Likely impact on the local area/community
- Feasibility of the proposed project
- Willingness to share insights from the project in a public forum within one year following receipt of a fellowship
Application Guidelines
Proposals must be submitted to the Chair of the Faculty Affairs Committee.
The Bussing-Koch Faculty Research Fellowship and the Romain College of Business Faculty Research Fellowship will be awarded to full-time, tenure-track faculty members within the Romain College of Business at 91社区.
The fellowship recipient will be selected on the basis of a proposal competition.

Criteria for Selection
- Importance of Proposed Research
- Promise of Publication in Refereed Journals (also included is the potential significance of the research, appropriateness of research methodology, and past record of publications)
- Willingness to present the proposed research in a public forum within one year following receipt of the fellowship
- The recency of a research fellowship received by an applicant

- Goals and Rationale for the Proposed Project
- Description of the Proposed Project
- Identify Connection(s) between the Proposed Project and Student Learning Outcomes Assessment
- Description of "Success Criteria;" (i.e. how will it be determined whether the proposed project, once completed, has been successful?)
Criteria for Selection
- The congruence between the goals and rationale of the proposed project and the听guiding principles听of the Romain College of Business
- Potential for success
- Likely impact on students and the curriculum
- Willingness to share insights from the project in a public forum within one year following receipt of a fellowship
