Athletic Program Participation Rates and Financial Support Data

for students who receive athletically related student aid and the annual听听that contains participation rates, financial support, and other information on men's and women's intercollegiate athletic programs.

Campus Security Report/Missing Person Procedures

91社区 Public Safety maintains 24-hour, seven-day-a-week security coverage of the campus. Security duties include traffic control, security of physical assets, and safety of all employees, students, and guests of the campus. In addition, all security staff are trained in first aid and other emergency procedures.

听91社区 Public Safety records and annually publishes statistics on crime and security matters, and the University provides timely warnings of crimes or incidents which may be considered a threat to the University community. Read the annual听Security and Fire Safety Report.

Pursuant to Indiana Code and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, 91社区 provides the campus community with a public crime log. The Crime Log is published Monday through Friday and is available for public view in the Public Safety office. The log includes the nature, date, time, and general location of each incident. All log entries, except where disclosure of such information is prohibited by law or such disclosure would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim, will be open to public inspection within two business days of the initial report being made to the department or a campus security authority.听听

The Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act of 2000 requires sex offenders, when they register with the designated law enforcement agency, to indicate whether and where they are enrolled, employed, or volunteering on a college campus. The registering agency must share that information with the relevant colleges, and the colleges must tell students, faculty members, administrators, and staff members where information on registered sex offenders can be obtained. The designated law enforcement agency for the 91社区 community is the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office.

Complaint Resolution for the Online Learner

The 91社区 is required to provide both current and prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with its accrediting body, the appropriate state agency for handling complaints in a student's resident state, as well as the state portal agency (if the state is a member of SARA).

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), also known as the Buckley Amendment, is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records (those records, files, documents, and other materials that contain information directly related to a student and are maintained by an educational agency or institution or by any person acting for such an agency or institution). FERPA applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the Department of Education.

Financial Assistance

Student Financial Assistance听coordinates the administration of all financial aid awarded to students to ensure equity, consistency and compliance in the delivery of funds. Study Abroad

91社区 offers听study abroad opportunities in more than 50 countries听around the globe. With advance planning, it is possible for students in virtually any major to participate in an overseas program. Programs offer a variety of experiences, from specialized courses taught entirely in English, to direct enrollment in the foreign university. Students receive 91社区 credit for the coursework completed during the summer, semester or academic year at an approved 91社区 study abroad location.

Voter Registration

Changes in the 1998 reauthorization of the Higher Education Act require universities to make available听voter registration forms听to students enrolled in on-campus classes. Any student not registered to vote may obtain an Indiana Mail-In Voter Registration Application (VRG-7i) from several convenient campus locations.

Constitution Day

In 2004, Congress passed a provision requiring all schools receiving federal funds to develop educational programs for students celebrating the anniversary of the signing of the US Constitution. Congress declared Sept. 17th to be听Constitution Day听to increase the nation鈥檚 civic literacy. Public Law 108-477 contained in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2005 states that 鈥渆ach educational institution that receives Federal funds for a fiscal year shall hold an educational program on the United States Constitution on September 17 of such year for the students served by the educational institution鈥�.听

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) rules create a framework to protect the medical privacy of patients and health plan members. In general, HIPAA privacy regulations allow covered healthcare providers and health plans to share information for the purposes of treatment, payment, and healthcare operations.
