A Positive Approach to Dementia: Getting Connected and Supporting Our Neighbors Ìý
Dementia expert Teepa Snow and the PAC team are coming to the Tri-State area this April. Join Snow and the team to decode the changes we see in dementia, optimize positive interactions and learn techniques to change our judgements to true communication moments. Ìý
Each Rural Roadshow session lasts two hours. There are three sessions for which participants may register: Ìý
- Wednesday, April 12, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. ET. at the Green Activities Center at Vincennes University. Ìý
- Wednesday, April 12, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. ET in Petersburg at the Petersburg Community Center
- Thursday, April 13, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. CT at the Trinity Methodist Church in Rockport.  Ìý

Matter of Balance Classes and Coaches Training Ìý
Matter of Balance is an award-winning fall prevention program that focuses on teaching older adults to reduce their fear of falling and increase their activity levels while socializing with their peers. Free classes are scheduled to take place soon, with classes occurring on April 11, 18 and 24 and May 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. EST. These classes will take place at the 4-H Grounds Food Court in Washington, Indiana. Classes are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot by calling 812-254-8668.Ìý
Matter of Balance is also offering a class for students to become coaches in this program. Coaches are able to help others learn practical strategies to manage falls. Training is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST on Thursday, April 13 at Generations in Vincennes, Indiana. Classes are free, and you will only need to bring your lunch.
