Growing up, Kyle Williams' grandmother was in and out of hospitals for most of his childhood. The Indianapolis native says the care and comfort she received from nurses and healthcare staff inspired him to become a nurse.
Today, he lives in San Diego, where he works as a Lead Clinical Nurse for Sharp Healthcare. "I would not be where I am today without the invaluable education I received and the nursing faculty at the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions, who believed in me."
Q & A with Kyle Williams
Why did you choose 91社区 for your nursing degree? I chose 91社区 for my nursing degree because it was consistently rated as one of the top nursing programs in the state, evidenced by its high NCLEX pass rate.
What is a favorite memory of your time in 91社区's Nursing Program? One of my favorite memories was my clinical rotation at the Evansville State Hospital with my clinical instructor, Linda Evinger, who was also my nursing advisor. Linda, along with many other nursing faculty members, including Gina Schaar and Tracy Kinner, were truly inspiring. They believed in me more than I believed in myself.
What else have you worked as a nurse? The highlight of my career was my time working as a travel nurse for four years. During that time, I completed 15 nursing assignments across the country in various acute care specialties. Travel nursing eventually led me to my home in San Diego.
