Historic New Harmony's internship program offers students at the 91社区 (91社区) and elsewhere the chance to gain knowledge, skills, and professional experience tailored for careers in museums, historic sites, archives, and other cultural organizations. Paid, part-time internships are available year-round and are flexible to meet university credit requirements.听
Interns learn by working on projects and programs under the guidance of Historic New Harmony's staff, who provide professional training and supervision. All applicants must be at least 18 years old and be enrolled in an academic program or a recent graduate. 91社区 students must have completed at least one semester at 91社区 and be a student in good standing. Students studying anthropology, archaeology, archival studies, education, history, library science, museum studies, political science, public history, and related fields are encouraged to apply.听

Potential Internship Projects at Historic New Harmony
Internships include opportunities to gain experience in collections management, museum operations, visitor services, and community engagement and outreach.
Collections Internship
The Collections Internship is centered around the ongoing inventory of Historic New Harmony's collection and learning about best practices for handling and managing artifacts. This intern will work with the Collections Manager to update artifacts, improve catalog records using PastPerfect museum software, and assist with various collections projects and exhibit installations as needed. Community Engagement Internship
The Community Engagement Internship is centered around supporting Historic New Harmony's community engagement efforts and building skills in communication, collaboration, and evaluation. This intern will assist the Community Engagement Manager with ongoing outreach and education programming projects and with researching and identifying opportunities to increase awareness of Historic New Harmony and its offerings. Historical Narrative Project Internship
The Historical Narrative Project Internship is centered around updating the Historic New Harmony Interpreters Manual and building skills in research, editing, and interpretive writing. This intern will work with the Experience Coordinator to evaluate the existing Interpreters Manual, identify areas where additional research and information is needed, and reformat the publication to improve readability and engagement with its content.
