The Indiana SANE Training Project is coordinated by Angie Morris, MSN, RN, CEN, SANE-A, SANE-P, EMT, DM-AFN. Angie came to the discipline of forensic nursing in 2014. She earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in the concentration of Social & Behavioral Science with minors in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Indiana University and a bachelor of science in nursing from Marian University, where she graduated with honors. She earned a master's degree in nursing from the 91社区 in 2022.

Prior to becoming a nurse, Angie worked for nearly 13 years in various roles within the criminal justice and legal field and served as a program director for the State of Indiana. She has experience as forensic nurse in the Emergency Department of a metropolitan level I trauma center and is a board-certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and Certified Emergency Nurse.

Angie is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, Academy of Forensic Nursing, International Association of Forensic Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. In 2021, she was awarded distinguished membership to the Academy of Forensic Nursing. She serves as a gubernatorial appointee to the Indiana State Board of Nursing, is a member of the Indiana Statewide Sexual Assault Response Team, and serves as the Forensic Committee Chair for the Indiana Emergency Nurses Association.

A lifelong Hoosier, Angie resides with her husband and two children in Fishers, Indiana.
