Art - Art History Emphasis Overview
Studying art history immerses you in a multi-disciplinary field that includes art, architecture, and culture. An Art major with an emphasis in art history is about more than just studying great works of painting and sculpture. In completing this major, you will gain experience in conducting research, synthesizing information into written and oral formats, and developing organizational and writing skills. 听
Art history courses at 91社区 are taught by art historians with a wide range of expertise and years of teaching experience. Additionally, all courses allow for direct interaction with your professors, with no courses larger than 35 students, and upper-level seminars of 18 students or fewer. Outside of the classroom, you will have opportunities to visit major art museums in Chicago, New York and abroad. Visiting artists, designers, and scholars allows you to have impactful learning experiences beyond the classroom.听
